Dinosaurs. All dinosaurs, and also species that existed concurrently with dinosaurs that were not, strictly speaking, dinosaurs (pterosaurs, for example). Dinosaurs are generally going to be up to date with the most recent theories available (ceratopsians with quills, theropods with feathers, etc.) (I have an illustrated encyclopedia of dinosaurs and I'm not afraid to use it.)

Also more ordinary flora and fauna, especially animals that are natively found through Africa, southwestern Asia, and southern Europe.

Humans are humans, and thus baseline, because humans. If they don't get killed, they can easily expect to get to be a couple hundred years old. Magic ties to gods.

Angels come from above the waters above, and are burning and brilliant and terrifying in their natural forms. Rings within rings, eyes everywhere, wings covering their bodies, things like that. You don't really want to look at them too long. They can also shapeshift into beautiful human-looking people, though! And then they bang people.

Which is where you get the Nephilim from. No one complains about angels banging ladies, because angels are gorgeous and their touches filled with light and magic, but everyone complains about half-angel children. Troublemakers, giants, they have less than the power of angels but none of the holy light of their fathers. Fuck those guys seriously.
